Blog 4: National Day on Writing PVRHS Gallery

Read three selections of student work from the PVRHS Gallery: http://galleryofwriting.org/galleries/223497 . Choose your favorite written work by either a Pascack Hills or Pascack Valley student, and comment on your favorite part about the piece [include the title and author].
What are your thoughts about the writer's tone/ voice? Is he/ she aware of an intended audience? If you could conference with the writer, what advice would you give to improve the selection? [8 points, posted by 10.21.09]

My favorite work that i read on the writing gallery called"I Won't Let You" by Ross Pillischer. It is obvious that it is about a boy and a girl and the boy committed a crime that is very serious. maybe assault or murder. The girl tells him that she won't let him go, but he goes anyway. I like how the writer doesn't tell you exactly what the boy is doing, why he is doing this, who is doing this to, and why this person deserves what he is getting. it is very suspenseful.
